21 COUNTRIES ARE ALREADY REGISTERED IN THE ISSF FINAL OLYMPIC QUALIFICATION
Last Olympic tryout! With just over two months left until the start of the ISSF Final Olympic Qualification Championship Rifle / Pistol, from April 11th to 20th, at the Centro Militar de Tiro Esportivo (CMTE), in Rio de Janeiro, the Organizing Committee continues to take care of every detail to the success of the competition. To date, 121 athletes have registered representing 21 countries from four continents: America, Africa, Asia and Europe. Logistics will involve dozens of professionals in ten areas so that the championship is once again a success, as were the editions of the 2019, 2022 and 2023 World Cups.
“The numbers are very encouraging because registrations started just two weeks ago and are growing day by day. The process ends only on March 11th. As in previous editions, this championship will have an excellent technical level and the presence of some of the best athletes on the planet in search of an Olympic spot. The event schedule is on schedule and everything will be ready for Camp Training, starting April 1st”, explains Ericson Andreatta, general director of the event.
According to the director, the ISSF Final Olympic Qualification Championship Rifle / Pistol will have ten finals and the program is in the same format as that which will be played at the Paris Olympic Games.
The 21 countries registered are:
Belgium, Kazakhstan, China, Cuba, Denmark, El Salvador, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Israel, Nigeria, Norway, Poland, Serbia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, Uzbekistan and Vietnam.
The ISSF Final Olympic Qualification Championship Rifle / Pistol is organized by CBTE in partnership with the Ministry of Sports and the supported of the Brazilian Olympic Committee (COB), the Brazilian Army, the ISSF and the Companhia Brasileira de Cartuchos (CBC).
