GERMANY AND SERBIA WIN GOLD ON THE 2ND DAY OF THE ISSF WORLD CUP RIO DE JANEIRO

Germans Maximilian Ulbrich and Anna Janssen won the gold medal in the 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team at the ISSF World Cup Rio de Janeiro Rifle / Pistol, which is being held at the Centro Militar de Tiro Esportivo (CMTE). In this Friday’s final, the German duo beat the Hungarians Zalan Pekler and Eszter Meszamos 16 to 12. In the fight for bronze, an exciting dispute and victory for Olga Tashtchiev and Sergey Richter, from Israel, over Jeanette Duestad and Jon Hermann Hegg, from Norway, 16 to 14.

And it defeated Serbia in the final of the 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team. Zorana Arunovic and Damir Mikec beat the Chinese Shuaihang Bu and Wei Qian 17-9, after opening up a lead of 8-2 and 11-3. In the bronze medal match, the Italian duo Maria Varricchio and Paolo Monna dominated the race from the start and won 16-2 from Agate Rasmane and Lauris Strautmanis, from Latvia. The award was made by the president of CBTE, Jodson Edington, and the General Director of the World Cup, Ericson Andreatta.

Brazilians Cibele Breide and Felipe Wu finished in 19th place, while Mariana Betoni and Philipe Chateaubrian were in 24th place.
